Find out what your cashback is actually worth before you deposit. Enter your numbers, and the calculator shows both the headline return and the real value after wagering requirements eat into it.

Calculator Inputs

The full calculator uses five inputs to model your expected cashback:

  • Deposit Amount ($). How much you plan to deposit. This sets the baseline for all calculations.
  • Expected Loss Percentage. How much of your deposit you expect to lose per session. Choose a play style (Conservative ~20%, Average ~50%, Aggressive ~80%) or enter a custom value. Game type affects this: slots typically lose faster than blackjack due to lower RTP.
  • Cashback Rate (%). The percentage the casino returns on your losses (or wagers, for rakeback). Slide between 5% and 50% or enter the exact number from your casino's terms.
  • Wagering Requirement (x). The multiplier you must play through before withdrawing cashback. 0x means instant withdrawal. 5x means you must wager the cashback amount five times before it becomes real money.
  • Payout Frequency. Daily, weekly, or monthly. This affects how often your cashback compounds and how quickly you can access funds.

Understanding "Real Value"

This is the number most cashback promotions hope you never calculate.

A casino advertises 10% cashback. You lose $1,000, so you receive $100 back. Sounds simple. But if that $100 comes with 5x wagering, you must bet $500 before withdrawing. During those $500 in wagers, the house edge takes its cut again.

The formula:

``
Headline Cashback = Losses x Cashback Rate
Real Value = Headline Cashback x (1 - (House Edge x Wagering Multiplier))
``

Worked example:

  • You lose $1,000
  • Cashback rate: 10% = $100
  • Wagering: 5x = must wager $500
  • Game RTP: 96% (house edge 4%)
  • Expected loss during wagering: $500 x 4% = $20
  • Real value: $100 - $20 = $80

That 10% cashback with 5x wagering is really 8% cashback. At 10x wagering, the same deal drops to roughly 6%. At 0x wagering, you keep the full 10%.

The calculator runs this math automatically for any combination of inputs and displays both the headline amount and the real value side by side.

Comparison Mode

Deciding between two casinos? Switch to comparison mode and enter the cashback terms for Casino A and Casino B. The calculator shows:

  • Headline cashback at each casino
  • Real value after wagering at each casino
  • Monthly and annual projected returns
  • A clear verdict on which deal pays more over time

This is especially useful when one casino offers a higher percentage with wagering and another offers a lower percentage wager-free. The comparison mode reveals which deal actually puts more money in your pocket.

Formulas Reference

For players who want to verify the math or calculate manually:

Standard Cashback:
Cashback = Net Loss x (Cashback Rate / 100)

Rakeback:
Rakeback = Total Wagers x (Rakeback Rate / 100)

Real Value (after wagering):
Real Value = Cashback x (1 - (House Edge x Wagering Multiplier))

Monthly Projection:
Monthly = (Sessions per Month) x Cashback per Session

  • House Edge by Game Type (typical):
  • Slots: 3-6% (RTP 94-97%)
  • Blackjack: 0.5-2% (with strategy)
  • Roulette: 2.7% (European) / 5.26% (American)
  • Live Dealer: 1-5% (varies by game)

These are averages. Actual RTP varies by specific game and provider. Use the custom RTP input for precise calculations.
